About Us

In 2003, whilst visiting family friends in Great Exuma on the way to England after a posting to Uruguay, we fell in love with the Exumas and when we found out The Conch House was on the market we just couldn't resist.  It ended up being rather an expensive holiday but we'd become the proud owners of a piece of paradise!

We all loved the Robinson Crusoeness of our Exuma holidays.  With no electricity, a temperamental old generator and limited rain water, it was our paradise away from technology and the stresses of everyday life.

As the years went by another sandhopper discovered our beautiful and secluded area and so we managed to persuade BEC to run some electricity down to the property, along with a telephone line.

Over the years we made the occasional upgrade but we all want to invite friends and family to share this wonderfully special part of the world.  So we bit the bullet in 2016 and have invested in renovating the original pond stone house and building an extension to create four ocean-facing ensuite bedrooms.

We are so excited to be able to open up our paradise to those who appreciate unspoilt, uncluttered natural beauty.  We are all looking forward to being able to invite our family and friends to stay and of course, you and yours.​
